For some reason, some of the most memorable moments with my kids involve food…and messes! I remember the first time we introduced my son to S’mores. My dark haired little boy was a dark chocolate mess. But the smile on his face was something I’ll always remember. He would go on to pull out the graham crackers, dark chocolate, and marshmallows from time to time so that mommy or daddy could make him S’mores.
Beyond being incredibly delicious, S’mores are simple and fun to create and eat. Once you get the hang of roasting the marshmallow so it’s slightly crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside, try some variations including the addition of peanut butter or strawberry jam, subbing dark chocolate or white chocolate, and using chocolate v. honey grahams.
Hershey’s wants to hear (and see) your favorite S’mores moments and memories. Through their Say S’mores campaign (which is housed on their Facebook page), families can share their favorite S’mores moments for a chance to win a Canon Rebel Camera, slate marble outdoor firebowl, $250 SnapFish gift card, roasting skewers, and all of the ingredients you need to make S’mores.

We had so much snow this past winter and were stuck in the house quite a bit. We made the best of it one night by making smores (in the microwave) and eating them by the fire.
Thanks!

I have to laugh whenever I remember the kids first s’mores. There was marshmallow and melted chocolate all over the place! I had such a time trying to get it out of their hair. And the graham cracker crumbs mixed in with the whole mess. And, of course, no camera at hand! But a good time was had by all, and that’s what counts. 😉
my favorite memory is feeding a smore to my daughter and just seeing her get marshmallow all over her face.

I actually have no s’mores memories. I think I may have made them ones back in the ’90’s.
My favorite memory of S’mores was the first time I tried one. My mom made one for me, and I didn’t expect to like it…. but I thought it was delicious, of course.

I loved making smores at girl scout camp.
My favorite Smores moment was when I burnt my first marshmellow in front of my now husband and he said that he was so excited because that was just how he liked his too. Perfect smore we made.
My favorite smores memory is my first taste–I was about 8 and the camping trip was one drama after the next–flat tire, lost on the way to the campground, water hook up wasn’t working, and my uncle left the cooler full of food in his driveway–I wasn’t sure I liked the whole camping adventure—then my Mom taught us how to make smores and I found heaven!

My favorite S’mores memory had to be when my family would go camping with my cousins’ family every summer growing up. Those trips would always involve nature hikes, Battleship, and S’mores!
I remeber our first 4th of July as a couple and we dug a fire pit in the back yard, made S’mores and watched the fireworks all around us
My favorite smore memory brownie girl scout camp- making a real fire than toasting the marshmallows- everything great till I caught myself on fire with my stick-but it ended great- I wasn’t hurt and everyone felt sorry for me so they gave me their S’mores
When I was a kid, my family and I were staying for an extended period of time at a campsite making Smores… I kept charring the marshmallows and my parents were getting annoyed at me because the skins kept melting off into the fire.

I had a funny experience with my middle son. we were making smores one night and he bit a marshmallow in half before putting it on his marshmallow stick. i told him,”you can’t roast a half of a marshmallow.” very deadpan. and he believed me for a few minutes. we laughed so hard when he figured it out!:)

When I was young, I loved making smores at “the cottage” (my dad’s boss let us stay at his cottage each summer). Now the tradition continues at my sister’s cottage.
