I always look forward to April because I have a renewed sense of responsibility to further my efforts towards preserving our planet and its precious resources. Years ago, we made the commitment to “reduce, reuse, and recycle,” but lately, I’m looking for new ways to repurpose items we can’t recycle. For example, I could recycle the glass jars we have used for jam and preserves. Or, I could turn them into snow globes!
In honor of Earth Month, Walmart is hosting a “Pin It To Win It” Sustainability Contest. Have you given new life to something that otherwise might have ended up in the recycle bin…or worse, in the dumpster? Walmart wants to see your most creative, up-cycled projects! Here is how to enter:
1. Create a Pinterest board and title it Walmart Green Earth Month: Recycle Revamp
3. Pin a photo of your up-cycled project, showcasing that you’ve created something new out of something old
4. Be sure to include the hashtag #WalmartGreen in the caption
5. Email your entry to email@example.com
The contest ends on April 30th, and winners will be announced on May 6th. The top three images will receive $100, $250, and $500 gift cards!
The Walmart Green Recycle Revamp “Pin to Win” contest celebrates your creativity as you showcase how you’ve reused and repurposed items.
