- 1 Bagel, sliced in half and toasted (I prefer whole grain varieties)
- 2-3 T Greek Cream Cheese
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1-2 slices of red onion
- 2 slices of smoked salmon
- Fresh dill
Combine Greek Cream Cheese with garlic. Spread a thick layer of Greek Cream Cheese on the bottom half of the bagel. Layer tomatoes, sliced red onion and salmon. Top with fresh dill. Serve immediately.
This is a quick, easy, breakfast idea that can be put together in minutes. Not only is it incredibly flavorful, it is packed with whole grains, protein, live and active cultures and omega-3 fats. I can’t imagine a healthier or more delicious way to get my morning started!
With the New Year just a few days away, I know I’m looking to get a healthy start by decreasing the fat and sugar in my diet while incorporating “power” foods that provide sufficient protein and other nutrients.
