What Verizon Customers Need to Know About Frontier Communications

The ability to open my computer and communicate with clients, share photos of my kids on Facebook, and stay abreast of world news is something I don’t think much about from day-to-day. The internet has opened up a world of possibilities for families across the globe, and we rely on seamless connections that facilitate video chatting with loved ones across the country or catching up on our favorite Netflix shows without interruption.

Information for Verizon Customers

If you are a Verizon customer, you’ve likely heard about the transition to Frontier Communications, effective April 1st, 2016. Like Verizon FiOS, Frontier Communications offers technology services, the most important and relevant to families being high-speed broadband, advanced voice products, satellite video and personal online and data security solutions. The company has an expansive presence across the country, and beginning this week, customers in California, Texas and Florida will move to the Frontier Network. What this means for you as a Verizon (and/or Verizon FiOS) customer is that internet, TV, and voice service will now be provided by Frontier Communications.

Frontier Communications

A Seamless Transition

When I moved into my new home last year, I was just outside of the area that would enable me to keep everything status quo. Having to change my home phone number and start a new plan was moderately inconvenient. If you are a Verizon customer, you might have the same concerns. Fortunately, the transition to Frontier Communications will be seamless and you will not need to change your phone number. Additionally, your services and monthly rate will not change.

Next Steps

One of the things I love about the internet is the ability to manage all of my accounts online, as opposed to sifting through and keeping track of papers. To manage your Frontier Communications account and view/pay your bill, you will need to reference the account number on your last Verizon bill when creating a new account online.

How to Get Help

As a new Frontier Communications customer, you likely have questions about the transition. MeetFrontier.com offers a wealth of information and you may find their FAQ section particularly helpful. For real-time news and information, follow Frontier Communications on Twitter, Facebook, and Google +.

So far our transition to Frontier has been smooth.
My mother-in-law, who lives 3 blocks away, has been without phone or internet for nearly two weeks. Every day they tell her it someone will come out … and they don’t bother to show. Each day it’s a different story as to why there is no service. It’s getting ridiculous.
