I initially thought that this book was solely for children. I was so wrong! My son loves to look at the pictures and says “cat.” I like the book for it’s hilariously accurate quips about the life of a cat and it’s relation to “life” in general. Cats are nice for when you are having a quiet night with a book. They’ll sit on your lap and keep you warm and purr a little. Dogs are nice for when you want some fun outside. So, am I a cat lover or a dog lover? Yes.

I love all animals, but I’ve only ever had one dog. I’ve had lots of cats, including the eight we have now. All our current cats were homeless until we took them in. That’s why we have so many; we’re soft-hearted.
Several of the paintings remind me of cats I have now or have had in the past, but I think my favorite is #18, which reminds me of my sweet Indy.
Canines are fine – but my heart belongs with felines! My favorites are Benson – and there is something about Meomyo. Over the years we have probably had a dozen (all strays/rescues and shelter cats) kitties – but only two, Salleefur and MickeyMac. actually always looked to be SMILING! Marilyn Hill – is the the case with Cairo?

Even though I am owned by 3 cats and a dog, I tend to prefer my kitty-girls over the dog (but don’t tell him that — he has enough issues as it is)!!

Cats are my favorite I like Skooter-reminds me of a cat I had a long time ago.
We currently have 5 cats that have adopted us. I have allergies to cats, but I don’t let that stop me from loving them. Skooter looks like my Ethel and Lucy. Benson is very much like Bubba. However, my heart belongs to Fred (who is always into mischief) who resembles Scarlett. There is not a picture that looks like PW, but she is a tortie.

I am definitely a cat person. It is not that I don’t like dogs, I just don’t feel like I identify with them like I do with cats. Plus, no offense to dog lovers out there, but I just can’t get over that dog smell and the slobbery kisses. I love all animals, but cats are just the best!
