I love the affection the chimps show each other.
That was really interesting. I met all the chimps and found one that is 44 years old. Wow! That is great! This looks really good. Thank you!

Ok well I love the show- it keeps the kids interested- is fun and educational, and the guy is not at all bad for the eyes. He reminds me of the croco hunter may Steve rest in peace in that he is in tune with them and truly cares, not just there for the job.

The chimp puzzles are challenging but fun!
Something I learned: If you were to put a sample of chimpanzee DNA next to a sample of human DNA—and if you had any idea what you were looking at—you would see that the samples are nearly identical.
Thanks for the review and giveaway!

I love how the chimps have such differing personalities
I haven’t seen this before, but it looks like it would be educational and fun for kids to watch.
i would love this dvd
This sounds like a great show and a wonderful cause.
“In South Africa, there’s a sanctuary for chimpanzees rescued from the horrors of human captivity — physical abuse, malnutrition, abandonment and drug and alcohol abuse.”
I learned that – to helping keep each other clean, grooming reduces tension among group members. Chimpanzees are sociable animals who seem to need physical contact, and grooming helps satisfy this need. It also strengthens ties between group members. Sometimes as many as 10 chimpanzees will take part in these peaceful, relaxed grooming sessions. Often a grooming group will be made up of a mother and several of her offspring of different ages. Adult males may also groom one another
love how all the chimps have different distinct personalities

The chimps are better actors than most people.

I learned that Eugene Cussons opened Chimp Eden in 2006 in collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI). This is one of my favorite shows.
Chimps all have very different personalities.
I can’t stand monkeys. This show helps me be more tolerant of them. LOL
I’m a HUGE fan of the show! I love how amazing Eugene is with the chimps, and how his whole body language changes when he’s with them. He really becomes one of them! I can’t wait for the new season! 🙂
I haven’t seen this, but I would love this for my grandchildren. (and me!) Thanks!
this looks very interesting. would sure love to win this
Count me in 🙂
This really looks like a great show to catch, I hope a good many people watch this.
I learned that the Umholti Nature Reserve is home to many different species of wild African animals including the giraffe, zebra, impala, vervet monkey and various other native South African species in addition to the chimps. Thanks for the terrific giveaway!
How fascinating that chimps and humans have nearly identical DNA!
very educational!
that our dna is very close to the chimps thanks for the giveaway
I didn’t realize chimps could live as long as 44 years.
My daughter loves the show. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love the way the chimps interact with each other.
I didn’t realize that wars in Africa are affecting the chimps. I guess I wrongly assumed that wars only harmed people.
It’s great how you get to “learn” about each of the chimps.

DH and I love documentaries. We went to an animal sanctuary last year that works with a place in Africa as well to retrain animals for the wild. I think all the great activities he does with the animals to prepare them for their return to the wild sound exciting. We’d love to see this!

I like the adopt a chimp feature. This looks like a good show for the entire family. Thanks for such a wonderful giveaway:}

I like this series because my daughter and I both enjoy it!
At Chimp Eden, for perhaps the first time in their lives, these abused and neglected chimpanzees are experiencing safety, nurturing and a loving environment.

That chimps have the same DNA as us.
I had only heard a bit about this program, but the website was very informative – and it made me want to see the entire season! I learned that the host of the show is a South African guy named Eugene Cussins, and after watching a video of one of the rescued chimps, Cozi, climbing a tree for the first time, I was hooked. Fascinating and heartwarming program that my whole family would love — thanks for the chance to win!

The Chimps steel my heart
I learned that if you were to put a sample of chimpanzee DNA next to a sample of human DNA—and if you had any idea what you were looking at—you would see that the samples are nearly identical. I had read that chimp and human DNA were similar, but I did not realize how close they are. Thank you for the chance to win.
I like that this is a family friendly show. The chimp puzzles on the site are neat too.
This is one of my favorite shows. I love the relationship that Eugene has with the chimps. It shows the trials and tribulations that he goes through to rehabilitate the chimps. I’d love to own this show on DVD. Thanks.

I really like this show! I love how the chimps are all individually focused on so you get to know their personalities. Really cool show! Thanks for the giveaway!
That chimps have the same DNA as us
I love that this is very educational.
There’s a sanctuary for chimpanzees rescued from the horrors of human captivity .
I did not realize that the chimpanzee population is declining a lot. This is because of habitat, bushmeat trade and live animal trade. Thanks for the giveaway. I would be happy to win!
I have only had time to see a few episodes, but every time it captures my heart 🙂 I just want to be there with these sweet chimps!!
Thanks!

I like that they each have personalities like humans
I’ve loved chimps since the early days of The Ed Sullivan Show. Please accept my entry. Thank you.
I have not seen it, but love chimps, they are amazing to learn things from. Would love to see this. Thanks for this great giveaway!
chimps have different personalities just like people!
LEarned that they are like humans and all have a distinct personality.
I like the fact that you can donate to adopt a chimp.
we love critters
How socialable they are
te puzzles are hard but they are great.
we love all animal flicks
these poor animals have endured physical abuse, malnutrition, abandonment or drug and alcohol abuse
chimps and humans have nearly identical DNA
They’re DNA is eerily similar to a human’s. Not so unbelievable when I look at my ex….
I didn’t realize that chimps usually walk on all fours – I thought they usually walked upright!
What I like about the series is the whole educating concept of conservation. What I learned about the series is not to disturb the wife when an episode is playing. 😉
I also love the affection the chimps show each other. Thanks for the chance to win.
You can donate to adopt a chimp! =)
The Cussons family is a heavy investor in Chimp Eden.
I didn’t get to see all the episodes on Animal Planet so this DVD would be a good way to catch those I missed. I love how Eugene’s love and affection for these chimps is giving the a chance at a better life then living in a little itty bitty cage. One of the first episodes I saw one of the chimps (i dont know which one) was stuck in a cage so small there was no room to do more then sit. How people can be so cruel to other animals always amazes me.
I learned that there was a chimp that was 44 years old. I didn’t know they could live that long!
that they seem to be very human
Chimps have the same DNA as we do.
I love this show! I never realized the unique personalities that individual chimps have and that they could show emotions like they do.
I learned that the new series premiers April 3.
Hot men and cute chimps – and by that I mean two separate things.
I am fascinated by our primate cousins 🙂 They are very advanced and need help surviving as much as we do. This dvd would be treasured in our household! Thanks for the entry!
Interesting that they alter their body language when he is around them

I like this show because I think the chimps are fascinating.
I learned that Eugene can teach chimps some of the basics, but I wonder did the chimps teach Eugene anything?
What’s not to love about chimps being themselves? They are funny and quite human-like.
I like how the chimps have unique personalities.
Well I guess I learned the series is on Animal Planet – I’m afraid I’ve never heard of this series before but looks like something my little nephew would love to see when he visits me.
Something I learned from the site is if you put a sample of chimpanzee DNA next to a sample of human DNA — and if you had any idea what you were looking at — you would see that the samples are nearly identical. Chimps and humans share 96 percent of their DNA.
You can adopt a chimp!
haha, when i was little i thought when you “adopted” a wild animal, you
could take it home. i was so dissapointed when they just gave me a picture of the animal and a stuffed animal….
i learned More than 98 percent of our DNA matches up to that of apes, which makes them genetically closer to us than gorillas
What I learned is there is this concept called Mystery Chimps, (and there is an episode with that subheading). Anyway, this means that these “mystery chimps” could not be integrated with the “other” chimps. But even when the chimps are not mystery chimps the individual personalites may not be able to get along with each other or the group because they may not fit in personality wise. Okay, that last sentence may have been a little unwieldy…but I still learned enough to be impressed with the series.
We love anything from the Animal Planet that teaches us about real animals in the wild. Human DNA is almost identical to the DNA of apes!
What’s not to like – those monkeys are very interesting creatures.
I learned: If you were to put a sample of chimpanzee DNA next to a sample of human DNA—and if you had any idea what you were looking at—you would see that the samples are nearly identical.
I would love this movie. It’s fascinating to watch them, they are all so different from each other. Thanks for having the contest!
looks like a great dvd:)
