Over the weekend, my husband and my father-in-law showed off their green thumbs and did some amazing work in our yard. They planted trees and flowers and just made the outside of our home look beautiful. It was a nice change, given the fact that most of our efforts have been focused on the interior of our home, which is where most of us spend our time.
I have to be honest with you…when I think about the design in my home, I don’t immediately think about toilet paper. But Cottonelle is working to change that with their new Respect the Roll campaign. Lat month, the company not only took the bold initiative to talk about toilet paper, they also went so far as to dress it up. And when you think about it, a cover for your toilet paper makes sense given the fact that everything else in our bathrooms have a place (toothbrushes, soap, cotton swabs, kleenex, etc.).
With the lull and crash of the waves in the background, a group of us discussed the origin of the roll cover and Cottonelle’s campaign. Where do you store your spare toilet paper? What types of designs would be fitting in the bathrooms of American families? How will consumers get access to these covers? It seems very fitting that the brand would “give away” these roll covers rather than having consumers purchase them. I’m digging them, although I have to admit, I’d love to see some black and white or neon colors introduced. I’m excited to see where they take the campaign.
Cottonelle’s new roll covers are available in 3 different retro-esque designs and are available in one of two ways:
1. Redeem a UPC code for a free roll cover while supplies last
2. Receive a free roll cover by visiting Cottonelle’s Facebook page while supplies last (I JUST played the game and WON…it was super easy).
