As a child, my parents celebrated each birthday and holiday and ensured that they were special and memorable. Even as a 30+ year old woman, I have to celebrate my birthday with an ice cream cake. If you’re looking for a sweet way to celebrate with your loved ones, Baskin-Robbins introduced three new signature ice cream cakes including Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Cake, Sweetheart Ice Cream Cake and Double Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake.
Ice cream and cake typically go hand-in-hand, but there is something unique about an ice cream cake, particularly when you add frosting! I haven’t had an opportunity to taste the new cakes yet, but they look incredibly decadent. The Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Ice Cream Cake is made with layers of Very Berry Strawberry and Chocolate ice cream, frosted with chocolate-flavored whipped topping, and finished with a strawberry glaze. The Double Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Cake features Chocolate Chip ice cream over Devil’s Food cake, frosted with chocolate flavored whipped topping, and finished with a rich chocolate ganache glaze. The Sweetheart Ice Cream Cake is dotted with mini red icing hearts, a red chocolate heart and a single red rose.
If you’d rather customize your cake, February’s flavor of the month is Heartbreak Healer which pairs red chocolate hearts and chocolate chunks in chocolate mousse ice cream. Baskin-Robbins’ seasonal flavor is Love Potion #31 which features white chocolate and raspberry ice cream infused with a raspberry ribbon, chocolate chips and dotted with raspberry-filled dark chocolate hearts.
I haven’t had a moment to try out their new flavors, but I’m planning to head on over this weekend for a sweet treat! Baskin-Robbins Valentine’s Day holiday cakes are available for $12.99 – $29.99 at locations nationwide while supplies last.
