Over the past year, you may have noticed the increase in recipes posted on this site. As much as I don’t enjoy cooking, I’ve worked hard over the past year to find ways to improve my skills and actually enjoy my time in the kitchen.

With two small children, evenings can be a bit chaotic. Sometimes it’s a struggle to get even a simple, healthy dish on the table because I am incredibly passionate about serving my kids wholesome foods, rather than the processed foods found at fast food restaurants.

Enter the Ninja Cooking System. At first glance, it looks like a fancy slow cooker. But this compact appliance can do so much more, and the main draw for me is it’s ability to cook an entire meal by simply using one pot. I actually used this technique to create a Lemon Chicken and Orzo dish that I’ll be featuring on the site soon.

To utilize this particular function, you’ll have to choose the right dish. Very often, the protein will cook initially and the vegetables/starches will be added closer to the time when everything will be completely cooked and ready to serve together. Even for the time saved alone in dishes, this appliance is worth it. By layering the main course, vegetables, and pasta/rice inside the Ninja Cooking System pot, you’ll cut back cooking times by as much as 30-50 percent.

The concept of this system is truly unique and one I haven’t seen replicated in another product. I can use the Ninja Cooking System as a stovetop, and oven, and a slow cooker! Here are the three main types of cooking that can be completed using this system:

Fast One-Pot Meals

SEAR-ious Slow Cooking

Use steam to roast and bake foods, brown and sear meats/vegetables with the stovetop setting, and slow cook to add flavor to your meals with the Ninja Cooking System. The innovation behind the system is it’s use of Triple Fusion Heat technology to combine heat from the bottom, sides, and steam for healthier meals made faster with 50% less fat.

This appliance is highly intuitive and I didn’t have to do much to begin using it. I do recommend using the recipe book provided as a guide to help you begin creating your own dishes.
