The weather is finally cooling down here in Southern California, and very soon, we’ll be elbow-deep in holiday recipes, shopping and all-things Christmas. Southern California always rings in the season with an array of holiday events and activities for families and Disney On Ice has become a holiday tradition during this time of year. This year, their newest show, Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment is making its way to Southern California.
Each year, a different touring show comes to Southern California and showcases your favorite Disney characters along with a talented team of figure skaters re-telling classic Disney stories on the ice. This winter, Disney On Ice Worlds of Enchantment will make its debut. It’s a new show that will include Lightning McQueen and Mater from Disney•Pixar’s Cars, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Buzz, Woody and Jessie from Disney•Pixar Toy Story, and Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen.
Disney Worlds Collide with Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment
Disney On Ice Worlds of Enchantment begins with a dance lesson from Mickey and Minnie Mouse during Mickey’s Dance-Along Pre-Show Party. The show will then bring to life classic Disney stories on ice in an imaginative way. The skating is absolutely stunning and my kids always love the varied special effects that surprise them during the show.
While each Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment mini-story is inspired by classic Disney films, they are each told in a new way, making the show feel nostalgic yet original. As a mom to both a son and a daughter, I also appreciate how the stories and their respective characters appeal to both girls and boys.
Disney On Ice Worlds of Enchantment will perform shows in Los Angeles, Anaheim, Long Beach and Ontario beginning December 15th, 2016 and running through January 8th, 2017. Ticket prices start at $25, however, you can purchase discount opening night tickets for $15 depending on the seat you select. Right now, you can save 20% on tickets by using the code MOM20.
