Those films that resonate with us at our core, traditionally depict real relationships with believable characters. While I’ve always been drawn to stories about parent-child relationships, it wasn’t until I became a mom that I truly found myself immersed in compelling stories like the one portrayed in The Croods.
Earlier this year, I spent a few days at DreamWorks Animation, learning about the origins of the story and how the filmmakers imagined the world and brought the characters to life. After The Croods find their cave destroyed during a seismic event, they are forced to take up residence in a brand new, widely unfamiliar, rapidly evolving world. The most poignant moments of the film come from the relationship between young Eep and her father Grug.
In honor of the film’s DVD release, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment put together The Croods coloring pages and activities to bring the film to life.

If you loved the film, the Blu-ray and DVD include a host of special features including additional content on The Croods Coloring and Storybook Builder App and new deleted scenes. Plus, families who purchase the Blu-ray will learn how to draw their favorite characters from the film and get an inside look at these Croodaceious Creatures.
The Croods will be available on Blu-ray and DVD beginning October 1st, 2013.

I like that they have so many different family parts like normal families these days. The gay couple with the child, the old man and the young wife and the man and wife with three kids. Its funny because so much of it is true life.

What I love about Modern Family is Ed O’Neill. I watched him growing up as Al Bundy on Married with Children. I always wondered what happened to him until I saw the previews for Modern Family. The fact that he was in it is what prompted me to watch the show & now it’s a favorite.
