As I look back on the drama of cliques and”he loves me, he loves me not”, I realize that high school plays a significant part in shaping a young person’s life. Fortunately, I managed to escape relatively unscathed. In a society where some version of high school lives on via Facebook, comes a story about Marnie, who is forced to come face to face with her former high school bully, now engaged to her brother.
Kristen Bell (as Marnie), Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, Kristin Chenoweth and Betty White star in You Again, a comedy about life, love, and friendship after high school. Here is a brief synopsis from the site:
For Marnie, high school was a horror movie, and her brother’s wedding is the sequel when her archrival comes back to haunt her as his bride. Its nice girl versus mean girl in this hysterical reunion with the one person Marnie would really like to forget. And if that weren’t enough, Marnie’s mom reunites with her own high school nemesis.
The film while lighthearted and comical, reminds us that people can change and are not always who they appear to be. I found myself empathizing with Marnie and hoping she’d gain some respect (or perhaps just an apology) from her former bully. I realized that from the start of the movie, I was stereotyping her and forced myself to be open-minded about her character. Overall, the movie is upbeat, witty, and thoughtful.
You Again is currently available on DVD and Blu-ray.

I enjoyed this movie very much! Working and subscribing with DISH Network I ordered it the other night on HD PPV. It was great! HD totally makes any movie even greater! I thought the characters were portrayed well and like you stated it does definitely show that people can change for the good. Good for Marnie tho, at least she got a few in for what she had to put up with in High School! :p
