Did you know that Tuesday, June 8 is World Oceans Day? That’s ok…neither did I. The day was initiated to educate and increase awareness about ocean conservation. Over the weekend, we celebrated the day in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Dr. Seuss’ classic One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish book by visiting the Sea Life Aquarium in Carlsbad.
Some of the highlights included Dr. Seuss inspired caricature drawings, coloring, and crafts. An exploration diver dazzled children by reading the classic One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish underwater.
Here are some pictures from our day at Sea Life Aquarium:
If you’re still looking to celebrate, Pottery Barn Kids will hold a special Book Club meeting at 11 am with a reading of ocean-themed books, including One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. Be sure to visit their website to find a participating location near you.
