Why You Should Live in Valencia, California + #LiveInAwesometown Twitter Party

The transition from renter to homeowner is a complex one filled with an array of often conflicting emotions. I love the freedom and responsibility associated with homeownership, but the decision of where to live is an important one. For families with small children like ours, it was important for us to settle in a suburban city with plenty of safe, open, kid-centric spaces and convenient access to our favorite shops and restaurants. But perhaps the single most important factor influencing our decision to purchase a home was the school district, specifically the school our kids would be educated in.

If you live in the Los Angeles area, or are dreaming of SoCal living, Valencia, located approximately 30 miles north of Los Angeles, is a thriving, growing community offering families competitive prices on beautiful townhomes and single-family homes. When I lived in LA, I spent quite a bit of time in Valencia as I have family in the vicinity and what I enjoy most is its walkability.

The homes in this community are gorgeous and feature some of the latest style and efficiency upgrades. With 15 new home neighborhoods situated in 4 villages, families can choose the community that best fits their lifestyle. Valencia is definitely geared towards active families and offers plenty of opportunities to get outside. Each neighborhood includes a comprehensive recreation center and the town itself boasts over 24 community parks, over 30 miles of connected pathways and trails for hiking and biking, sports leagues, local fitness centers and much more.
