Prior to having children, I enjoyed going out to casually shop for clothes or other necessary items. But these days, it’s tricky to shop with 2 small children, particularly if my list includes items that are not of any interest to my children. This holiday season, I’m aiming to do a majority of my shopping online to avoid meltdowns and crowds.
Do you know what is often the deciding factor when it comes to online versus in-store shopping? Shipping fees! A few dollars may be worth it if the location is far or difficult to drive to. But in general, I would prefer to avoid shipping fees if online and in-store pricing is the same since I don’t often pay for convenience.
Walmart recently announced that it will be offering free shipping with orders over $45 in certain categories. At present, there are over 100,000 eligible items in a variety of categories including apparel, electronics, appliances and more. If you’re familiar with Walmart, you know that there are three ways to receive your items without incurring shipping costs when you shop on Walmart.com. Site To Store, Pick Up Today, and now Home Free are your options and each of them work just a bit differently. Armed with $45, I decided to conduct a shopping haul for my daughter on their website.
At present, Walmart.com has a ton of baby clothes on sale! Here is what I picked up for my daughter, the total coming out to exactly $45:
