We’re in the midst of the shopping craze that often characterizes this time of year. While I prefer to shop online, very often I’ve found that some of the best deals can only be secured in-stores…crowded, somewhat chaotic stores with very long lines. Pre-children, I would have had more time…and patience. But to be honest, shopping with two small children is difficult enough without adding the holiday crowds to the mix.
There are a few specific instances where I prefer to shop in-stores, particularly when it involves having to try an item on or evaluate the different options for a large purchase. But in general, online shopping has been my preference for many years now.
I remember when I first discovered eBay. I was thrilled that I could “bid” on items and have some control over how much I wanted to spend. It’s been my go-to site for items that are out of stock elsewhere, and I often check it when I want to get a better price. It’s also nice to be able to shop the site for practically anything and everything.
If you have started shopping for your children, you likely know that some popular toys are out of stock and difficult to find. eBay has the hottest toys for kids this season, and actually has a Toys-R-Us store on the site (I had no idea!). So while you’re searching for electronics or other gifts, you can shop for the children in your life while securing some great deals.
Based on online, print, and television ads, I created a Top Ten Toy List for 2012!
Because of the holiday, there are a ton of additional savings events going on right now. And if you do happen to brave the stores but you want to see if eBay has an item, you can shop using their mobile app.
