Some days, I feel like time is flying by! It’s already April, and Easter seems to have just come and gone. We spent the weekend with friends and family, celebrating and remembering the true meaning of the day. While our kids did participate in the more commercial aspects of the holiday, we ensured that they understood what Easter is truly about…that Jesus has risen!
As you may know, my faith is extremely important to me. Last month, when The Bible premiered on The History Channel, I felt such a mixture of emotions. How incredible is it that Mark Burnett (The Voice, Survivor) and his wife Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel) produced this inspirational, educational, and moving series that brings The Bible to life?
This 10-hour docudrama explores some of The Bible’s unforgettable stories including Noah’s journey in the ark, the Exodus, and the life of Jesus through live action and spectacular visual effects. Roma Downey plays the role of Mary in the series alongside a talented international cast and many of the scenes were shot in exotic locales.
We just received The Bible on DVD, and I’m excited about watching the series with my husband. It is one of the greatest stories ever told…Here is a peek at some other shows and films that re-tell epic stories:

My daughter loved this series. Her comment on Easter Sunday while watching the last one, “I want this on DVD.” She is 11 years old and I just loved how she was so thrilled with watching this.
