This weekend, local designers and couture fashion brands converge in the 6th annual Style Week Orange County. Featuring a week of runway shows, in-store parties, and fashion presentations, this year’s week-long event will celebrate the best in Orange County style. All events, excluding the closing benefit gala, are free and open to the public. Guests can view style closets and trunk shows throughout the three venues to see what’s trending this Fall. Before you channel your inner fashionista, be sure to check out these signature fashion events happening all week long.
Cadillac Couture: Design Competition (Saturday, September 28th, 2013 at 7 pm and Saturday, October 5th, 2013 at 6:30 pm)
- Style Week Orange County’s signature opening event will be hosted by celebrity fashion designed and personality Nick Verreos. Utilizing Cadillac vehicles as inspiration, four students from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) will showcase their elaborate couture gowns which have car parts integrated into their designs. The winning designer will be announced on the runway.
Accessories Showcase (Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 at 6 pm on the Atrium Lawn at Fashion Island)
- Learn about the latest Fall trends in accessorizing and get a preview of items from C. Wonder, Kendra Scott and Uno de 50
Style Showcase (Wednesday, October 2nd, 2013 at 6 pm at Irvine Spectrum Center and Thursday, October 3rd at 6 pm at Fashion Island)
- Preview the latest Fall styles from Active Ride Shop, Foreign Exchange, Francesca’s Collections, Kitson, and Babakul through fashion shows and in-store parties.
Beauty Showcase (Thursday, October 3rd at 6 pm in the Giant Wheel Court at Irvine Spectrum Center)
- Complete your new Fall look with a makeover from Cirque du Soleil’s head makeup artist and hairstyling demos from TONI & GUY
Fashion Island Collection Runway Show
- Featuring collections from the destination shopping center’s retailers, guests will see the latest fashions from Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Halston Heritage, Vince, Trina Turk, Joie, and Gary’s.
Fabulous! (Saturday, October 5th, 2013 at 6:30 pm in the Bloomingdales Courtyard at Fashion Island)
- Style Week OC closes with a fashion show to benefit the FIDM. Tickets for this 2-part gala event are $100 and can be purchased at FIDMmuseumshop.org.
