Shop For A Cause With Box Tops For Education *Giveaway*

Whew! I made it through Black Friday! Did you shop yesterday?

‘Tis the season to be shopping, where sales, discounts, coupons, and promotions abound. It’s also the season of giving. If you’re already shopping this season, why not make those purchases count towards a great cause?

For those who have school-aged children, you’re likely familiar with Box Tops for Education, a program that makes it easy for families to earn money for their local schools. Families simply clip the Box Tops from the products they use and bring them into their school which submits and redeems them for money. Each Box Top is worth approximately 10 cents and over the past 15 years, more than 90,000 schools have earned over 400 million dollars through the program.

Clipping Box Tops is just one way families can help schools earn money. Do you and your children enjoy reading? Barnes & Noble and Box Tops have partnered to create the Reading Room where families can earn up to 6 eBoxTops with every qualified $10 purchase made at the bookstore.

The third way families can help support their local schools is to shop through Box Tops for Education’s Marketplace. With over 175 retailers, families can earn up to 15 eBoxTops for every $10 spent via the site.

To ensure your purchases will benefit your local school, be sure to designate a school when you sign up (which is free) on the website. Once you have set up your free account, simply head to the Marketplace to shop at your preferred retailers.

I have never shopped through Marketplace prior to this past weekend, but doing so was very easy. There are a ton of well-known retailers available including Apple Store, Walmart, Gap, Disney Store, Macy’s, Snapfish, Southwest Vacations, Sephora, Lands’ End, Leap Frog, Naturalizer, and many more.

I have been eying a pair of super cute and comfy Ugg boots for quite sometime, so I shopped through OnlineShoes.com where I was able to earn 5 eBoxTops for each $10 spent. Since the boots I purchased were $139.95, I have 65 eBoxTops pending. Woot! If you have a coupon code, you can still use it which is one of the questions I had about the site. Unfortunately, the coupon code that was available for Black Friday was not valid on select brands, including Ugg.

Schools can earn a total of $60,000 each year from the program, $20,000 of which can be accrued through Clip, Box Tops for Education’s Marketplace, and Reading Room.
