It’s rare that I’m surprised by a film, particularly one geared towards children. When I sat down with my 3 year old son at our local movie theater, I didn’t really know much about Universal Picture’s summer blockbuster film Despicable Me. The minions were a draw for my son on that warm summer day, but it was the humor and heart that captivated me.
This summer, Universal Pictures will release Despicable Me 2, a 3d computer-animated comedy adventure starring Steve Carell, Russell Brand, and Miranda Cosgrove. The film features the return of former super-villain Gru, his adorable girls, and the hilarious, well-loved Minions. Gru is recruited by the Anti-Villain League to help fight Eduardo, a powerful new super criminal.
As we get closer to the opening of the film, I’ll have exclusive information and our family’s review!
Leading up to the film’s release, fans of the film can see the Despicablimp, one of the largest airships in the world. One of the very last stops of the tour will take place here in LA at the world premiere of Despicable Me 2 on June 22nd, 2013.

one thing i loved about Despicable me was how Eduardo fell inlove with those little girls he adopted

I actually only saw part of Despicable Me, but what I saw was cute! I loved how independent the little girls were 🙂
I must admit I haven’t seen the film however I am looking forward to a family friendly film that we can all enjoy!

I loved the girls personalities and how Eduardo was such a softie for them – I especially loved the part where they were at the carnival and how he helped the little girl win “fluffy”

I love this movie because the WHOLE family loved it, from the 3-yr-old on up. Clean adult humor and cuteness the little ones love.
I loved that there were moments in the movie that were funny for the kids and the adults. I think I enjoyed that movie just as much as my son did!

I didn’t see the first Despicable Me but my son has the DVD that I intend to watch asap! He has Down Syndrome & loves it 🙂 He also collects stuffed animals & I would love to give him the little minion ..
