When I first previewed footage from Rio 2, I was captivated by the film’s visual and musical vibrancy.  And while the familiarity of lovable blue macaws Jewel and Blu is a draw for audiences, I found myself intrigued by the Amazon setting, phenomenal voice cast, and get-up-on-your-feet score. After a successful theatrical run, families can now relive Jewel and Blu’s Amazon adventure from the comfort of their homes.

From Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and Blu Sky Studios, Rio 2 stars the voice talents of Bruno Mars, Kristin Chenoweth, Andy Garcia, Anne Hathaway, will. i. am, Jaime Foxx, George Lopez, and more in a film that celebrates family and culture.  When Blu and Jewel take their kids to the Amazon wild, they find themselves on a colorful, musical adventure with hilarious twists and turns.  As Blu attempts to fit in, he goes beak-to-beak with Nigel, who’s out for revenge.

My son LOVES the bonus features and Rio 2 is packed with nearly an hour and a half of new content to continue the Brazilian fun! Additionally, families can download two bonus songs from the Rio 2 soundtrack, both of which are performed by Gabi and Nigel. Every Blu-ray comes with 15 exclusive Angry Birds Rio levels for kids like my son who can’t get enough of the game.

  5. We haven’t seen it yet, but we loved Blu in the first one. His cautious, Midwestern nature is something we can relate to!
