Review: Cuties Juices and Smoothies

Posted by Caryn Bailey Leave a Comment

Nearly every morning without fail, my children peruse the fridge in search of something fruity and refreshing to compliment their breakfast. Despite the fact that we go through a TON of fruit and smoothies, I can’t complain about my children’s craving for healthy foods.  We are always striving to live healthier, and one way we do that is through the foods we eat. My children absolutely love juices, but many store-bought varieties that target children contain a ton of sugar, calories, and artificial ingredients.

Because my children love fruit, I was almost certain they’d enjoy Cuties new all-natural juices and smoothies.  Now available at Walmart, Cuties Juices simply contain fresh squeezed juice from Clementine and Mandarin fruit.  These juices and smoothies are fresh (as opposed to those derived from concentrate) and do not contain added sugar or other sweeteners.

I first introduced my children to Cuties mandarins awhile back and they loved them. These kid-sized Clementine/Mandarin fruits are juicy, sweet, and refreshing, and when combined with other fruits like strawberries, bananas or pineapples, make a delicious healthy treat.

In addition to being all-natural, Cuties Juices and Smoothies provide kids with a nutritional boost, packing in 150% of the Daily Value of Vitamin C per 8 oz serving, 1 or 2 grams of protein, and disease-fighting antioxidants including Vitamins A, C, and E.  Each 8 ounce bottle also provides 2 servings of fruit.

My kids were so excited about trying these juices and smoothies out. The packaging is vibrant and colorful and my kids were drawn to their small, rounded shapes. There are currently 10 varieties offered in 8, 12, and 48 ounce bottles. My son’s favorite flavor was the Blue Blaster and my daughter’s was Rockin’ Red. I managed to sneak in a few sips and was surprised at how fresh and flavorful the juices and smoothies are without being overly sweet.

Cuties Juices and Smoothies are now available in the refrigerated section of your local Walmart. Through the end of the month, you can download a coupon for $0.75 off any juice or smoothie by visiting Common Kindness (you’ll need to search for Califia Farms to find the coupon).
