I’m loving Fall’s smokin’ red carpet-inspired looks and trends! During yesterday’s LiveStream Conference, bareMinerals creator and founder Leslie Blodgett talked about how to recreate the three red carpet-inspired looks and celebrity makeup artist Fiona Stiles transformed Emily, Alex and I live on camera.  Leslie and Fiona offered easy tips and answered questions live on camera, inspiring every woman to spend a few minutes accentuating their natural beauty.

My look, which focused on bare skin complexion, was inspired by Heidi Klum.  Fiona utlized bareMinerals’ new Ready SPF 20 Foundation, which was just introduced this past month, to create the look.  This is the first time the company has introduced a solid mineral foundation which offers a long, weightless 12-hour wear.  And like many of the products from bareMinerals, this foundation is good for your face.  Where most mineral powders and foundations leave skin feeling dry, bareMinerals’ new Ready SPF 20 Foundation hydrates skin through it’s time-released mineral formula.

Since I was headed to the black carpet premiere of Batman Live in Los Angeles last night, I thought it would be the perfect day to test out the new foundation. I wore it well beyond 12 hours, and when I finally removed it last night, my skin felt smooth and hydrated.  While I did have some concealer on in places, I felt like overall, the foundation offered excellent, consistent coverage.

Fiona and Leslie offered some valuable tips on application, one of which was to think about blending colors to achieve one that is perfect for your skin tone. As a Latina woman, I’ve always struggled to find the right color and I appreciated her suggestion for my particular complexion.

  65. For small eyelids you want to use liner and primer eyeshadow in taupe or bronze because it brings light to the eyelid and will make your eyes look bigger.

  146. Wow! There were so many things I learned while watching the Live Stream. I’m certainly not using the right brushes to apply my makeup. I think the best tip I learned was using a concealer brush to smudge eyeliner and shadows. Great video! Thank you so much!!

  432. I learned from the LiveStream that you should use your finger when applying concealer because the warmth from your finger helps the concealer to absorb into the skin.
