Two weeks until Christmas and I had yet to order my Christmas cards. I looked at my calendar and I knew that trying to fit in a photo session for professional family photos was next to impossible. I failed to heed my friend’s advice about booking early and I realized that any photographer I could consider was already booked for the season. The concept is so easy, it’s brilliant. Once you’ve created a free account, you can book a shoot time and date for professional family photos that works with your schedule. Arrive in-studio a few minutes before your scheduled shoot time and in 10 minutes, you’ll have nearly 100 professional photos. Once your shoot is complete, you can view and purchase images on any device at your leisure. This means there is no waiting around at the studio to view and select images.

After booking a time online, I chose the outfits that my kids and I would wear professional family photos and made sure we were makeup and hair-ready before entering the studio. When you enter the studio, it feels fresh and modern with just a few boxes that the photographer uses for staging various shots. I thought I might have to prep my kids, however, the photographer was wonderful at getting my kids to smile and be sweet and silly. My favorite shots were the candid ones of my kids.
What I enjoyed most about our professional family photos experience at Blink Inc was how convenient it was to fit in a professional photo shoot during one of the busiest times of the year. The photos are untouched, although the photographer mentioned there is a light filter on them. For untouched photos, the quality is superb! Here are a few insider tips for booking a photo shoot at Blink Inc.
- Create a free account online. This is where you will book your shoot and view your images.
- Coordinate outfits, if desired. I found that coordinating colors for our holiday shoot ensured that we achieved the look I was hoping for.
- Make sure your hair and makeup are complete before arriving.
- Bring props, if desired. The studio is intentionally minimalistic in design, but the photographers welcome any items that will make your shoot personal and creative.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled shoot time as the shoot begins right on time. This will give you time to touch up make-up and hair and fix straps, tags etc. You can add additional time in 10-minute increments, however, on a Saturday or Sunday you may have to re-schedule if the studio is busy.
A 10-minute photo shoot at Blink Inc starts at $25 and results in 70-90 photos (you’ll receive color and black and white). High resolution downloads are $10 each, or you can purchase all of the photos from your shoot for $225.
If you plan to use your professional photos for Christmas Cards, simply download your photos to your computer, then create your photo cards on your favorite website. This can be done the same day you complete your photo shoot which is a huge time-saver.
