Finding a lasting friendship that weathers the storms of life is difficult. I tend to be a very social person, but I have only a handful of friends that I call my most trusted confidants. The fact that I still have 2 very close friends from elementary school is a testament to the power of an authentic friendship. Much like the friendship between Maggie Caruso (Lennon Parham) and Emma Crawford (Jessica St. Clair) in Playing House, a brand new comedy series premiering on USA Network this month, I know that I can pick up the phone and call one of those 2 women for anything.
This brand new, original series will celebrate friendship and the joys of motherhood in a delightful comedy set int the town of Pinebrook, Connecticut. When Maggie (who is expecting a baby) learns that her husband has been unfaithful to her, she seeks the support of her best friend Emma, who happens to have a successful business in China. While completely opposite in personalities, the two have a loyal friendship that will be tested against the trials of life…including raising a baby. I’m looking forward to watching this original series which celebrates mothers and that special bond between two close friends.
