HOT! Like in the 90’s today! Sheesh! Fall is SUPPOSED to be here soon but it’s nowhere in site. I just had to share!
This morning I had my 6 month OB appointment and everything is well with mom and baby (that’s me!). Speaking of baby, I have been starting to think about baby “stuff” lately. Like what I need and don’t need since some fabulous girls decided to throw me an online baby shower. I am not the type of mom that needs her entire nursery and decor transformed because we’re having a baby of the opposite gender this time around. Sure, I don’t want my 5 year old looking like a boy, but a few yellow or green onesies is not going to do any permanent damage to our baby girl.
So I’ve been browsing some online baby boutiques (in my 5 minutes of spare time!) and came across an adorable little boutique called BabyBox.com. Shopping on the site is like visiting a quaint boutique in your city. Most of the products are offered for infants ages newborn to 12 months. I think my best use of the site would be for a gift. When I give a gift, I want it to be unique and meaningful. While I think registries are great for helping you keep all of the essentials straight, there is so much more to be offered beyond the chain baby stores of today. Here is a little more information from the site:
In contrast to huge online superstores, BabyBox.com is a unique and upscale boutique, offering a specialized selection of baby items. BabyBox.com carries adorable baby apparel including seasonal wear, collection and one-of-a-kind handmade items.
One of the things I appreciate about the shopping experience on the site is the ability to personalize an array of gift items. My son received a personalized children’s umbrella in blue, complete with his initials monogrammed onto it. Which leads me to the title of this post. Yes…we live in Southern California and don’t get a lot of rain. But when it rains, it pours! And this preschool year, my son will have the most adorable umbrella in his class (and he won’t lose it…it’s monogrammed). The umbrella itself is decent in size (meaning it will cover my 2 year old completely) and features a child-safe design with a wood handle and tip. The umbrella retails for $26.
When you purchase items at BabyBox.com, the company will wrap it in a beautiful signature box. This is a company that goes above and beyond to ensure your gift (and your experience at on their site) receives personalized attention. Other items featured include toys, blankets, and keepsake books. Here are just a few of the items on my “wish list.” FYI…a girl can dream can’t she?
