It’s 90 degrees today, and knowing what our weather is like here in Southern California, we are in for a very hot summer! I’m home working today, but what I really want to be doing is lounging by the pool or dipping my toes in the Pacific Ocean!
I don’t love heading out in a swimsuit, but after last week’s inspiration from Dove, I thought I’d embrace the beauty within and pick out some summer beach essentials. I created a Pinterest board with some of my favorite items, perfect for a relaxing day at the beach.
You may remember that I created a “Girls’ Night Out Love List” a couple of months ago, inspired by Diet Pepsi’s Love Every Sip campaign. In my own personal life, I’ve been working to really be in the moment…with my husband…with my kids…with my friends. Too often I find myself multi-tasking or rushing through moments. Love Every Sip is all about enjoying those little, everyday moments that sometimes get forgotten. I can’t think of a better way to enjoy life than at the beach. I’m already imagining the serene sound of the waves crashing against the shore. The beach is an ideal location for a short getaway because it forces me to disconnect from the busyness of life.
