Music Review: Michael W. Smith: It’s a Wonderful Christmas

Michael W. Smith’s latest release, “It’s a Wonderful Christmas” is another great example of his blending of contemporary music and orchestral arrangements. The CD plays like a mix of contemporary Christmas music and a movie soundtrack with beautiful grand orchestrations and uplifting harmonies.

“Christmas Day” is one of our favorite songs, which features a duet with Mandisa in an inspiring portrait of Christmas. From big choir sounds and exciting orchestra movements of Christmas classics to contemporary Christmas songs, there is something for everyone to enjoy!

Of course we could not fail to mention the bagpipes. Reminds us of our time in Scotland. Can you be homesick for somewhere other than home? We really like this CD and highly recommend it.
