Modern Baby Product Guide: Fold & Go Bouncer by Infantino

Posted by Caryn Bailey 1 Comment

I would love to be able to hold my daughter all day long.  But dishes laundry things would never get done.  So while I’m running after my son or trying to get in a 3 minute shower, I put my daughter in a swing or a bouncer.  My son never enjoyed his bouncer, but my daughter actually prefers it over the swing.

New and expectant parents have an abundance of baby gear to choose from.  Infant car seat or convertible?  Crib or bassinet?  Swing or bouncer?  In all honesty, I would answer the last question by saying both (if it were cost effective and feasible).  In my experience, every baby prefers something different (as was the case with my children).  I like to vary the places where my baby “hangs out” so I have both a swing and a bouncer.

So what does a parent do when traveling or spending the night at grandma and grandpa’s house?  Most of the baby gear we own would have to be taken apart to fit in our sedan.  If you are lacking in space or want a bouncer you can take on the go, check out Infantino’s new Fold & Go Bouncer.

“Fold it, pack it, stow it, and roll with it.”  Infantino’s Fold & Go Bouncer is compact, lightweight, and easily transportable.  I put it together in less than 10 minutes and I can tote it up and down the stairs without effort.  For a portable bouncer, it actually offers quite a few features including a vibrating mode, 3 nature sounds, 3 melodies, volume control, a removable padded headrest, and a removable toy bar (with 2 attached toys).

Because we always put our bouncer outside…hehe!

My favorite aspect of this bouncer is it’s portability.  We are planning on doing some travel in the upcoming months and this is the bouncer we’re going to take with us. The music is actually quite hip…my 3 year old son likes to hear the “jungle” music.

My least favorite aspect of the bouncer is the fact that my 6 month old daughter can remove the toy bar.  I’ve taken it completely off, which is disappointing since she actually likes the hanging toys.  While I understand that the bar has to be removable in order for it to fold, I would like to see it redesigned.

I’m on the fence about the fact that the bouncer doesn’t recline like most bouncers.  I have actually fed my daughter in the bouncer because it’s relatively upright (she’s not quite ready for the high chair yet).  However, she doesn’t fall asleep easily in it because it’s so upright.  Again, I’d love to see this aspect redesigned…perhaps with 2 different reclining levels.

Overall, we were quite satisfied with the Fold & Go Bouncer.  It retails for $49.99 and is available at retailers nationwide.

I am a participant in a Mom Central campaign for Infantino and have received various Infantino products to as part of my participation.

She’s getting so big, Caryn! And she’s so beautiful. 🙂

P.S. We loved our bouncer – so handy for those moments when you have to jump in the shower or get something out of the oven.
