Manifest Your Magnificence

Posted by Caryn Bailey Leave a Comment

It seems like I’ve been talking a lot about children and self-esteem lately.  As a parent, it’s my responsibility to help my son develop a positive sense of self and identity. This is what is going to get him through school and work and relationships and life.  Self-esteem patterns begins early…as early as toddlerhood.  It’s important that I create a loving, safe home environment and offer lots of affirmation and affection.  Children who have a positive self-identity are able to manage conflicts, resist negative pressures and are realistic and optimistic (KidsHealth.org).

I recently had the opportunity to review Susan T Howson Manifest Your Magnificence Cards.  Each set of cards (64 total) are beautifully illustrated and packed in a little gift box.  Each card contains a positive phrase on one side, and the affirmation which relates to the phrase on the other side.  Each phrase begins with “the two most powerful words in the world,”  I Am.  Here is a little more information from the site:

Manifest Your Magnificence is a unique set of 64 affirmation cards and an audio CD designed specifically to nurture a child’s self-esteem.  Beautifully illustrated, written and spoken, each affirmation carries a powerful message that connects children to their magnificence. This unique set of cards and CD encourages positive interactions between adults and children, creates communication about feelings, promotes values such as honesty, responsibility, and compassion, and imprints positive attitudes and beliefs in the subconscious through use of “I AM” statements.

There are so many ways you, as a parent, can use these cards.  Pack them in your child’s lunch, set aside a special time every day to read a few…Some of the suggested activities include having your child write, draw, or verbalize a response to each card.  Older children can be encouraged to sing, act, or even dance.  The cards are geared towards children between the ages of six and twelve.  Older children will be drawn to the phrases and meaning, younger children will be drawn to the lovely illustrations and the special time spent with mom and dad.

Children need encouragement and affirmation and a reminder of how magnificent they are.  I can’t wait until my son is a little older!  I am going to put them in his lunchbox and his backpack and…

Manifest Your Magnificence Cards retail for $25.95 and can be purchased directly from the site. Be sure to check out the CD which includes the audible version of these cards.

Profuse thanks to the Family Review Network and Susan T Howson for this review opportunity.
