Learning Curve’s Chuggington Wooden Railway Giveaway

My son eats, sleeps, and breathes trains…literally. Whether he’s playing at school, eating dinner at the table, or sleeping in between my husband and I, he has his trains tucked away in his pocket. Mr. Bear has been replaced by wheeled engines, whom you’ll find him talking to from time to time.

At the end of last year, we received Chuggington’s brand new Interactive Railway set. This was the second in a line of three sets to be introduced by Learning Curve and Chuggington. Recently, they released the Wooden Railway line which features an entire collection of wooden engines, unique 2-in-1 buildings, and more. My dad was and is a lover of trains and was quite impressed with the set when he was over with my mom a few weekends ago.

Learning Curve’s third line features a series of bright colored engines and starter train sets constructed with classic, quality wood. The Wooden Railway line also includes modular 2-in-1 buildings and tunnels which encourage kids to construct and reconfigure pieces to build to their imagination’s content!

The set, particularly the wooden tracks, is authentic-looking and well-constructed. If your child has another wooden train set, he or she can combine the two, since the Wooden Railway is expandable and compatible with most wooden train systems on the market.

Having had a chance to get hands-on with all three sets, we found this one to be the easiest for small tots to put together. My son really enjoys configuring the tracks in different ways “all by himself.” The trains are smaller than the ones that come with the Interactive Railway (also from Learning Curve), but are comparably sized to others on the market so that they can be interchanged. Before my son was introduced to Chuggington, we bought him an entire train table, tracks, and a set of train cars. It’s nice that the two sets integrate well together.

This is probably our favorite train set to date. What I’d really like to see is a combination of the Interactive Railway line with this Wooden Railway line. I think it would be fun for kids to have smaller talking versions of their favorite engine trainees.
