Well it’s the middle of my week of beauty reviews and I’ve got another fabulous mommy must-have! There are a lot of products I can’t justify spending money on…self-tanners come to mind (keep in mind I’m exotic Puerto Rican with olive-toned skin). But when it comes to my hair…I’m so there (I know…cheesy!). Seriously…if you can see it…I want it looking good! I have thick, curly hair which I highlight, so I’m willing to spend the money on quality hair care products. I like to alternate between a couple of high-quality salon brands to keep my hair fresh and vibrant. I will add JLife Haircare to my repertoire of fabulous hair care companies.
Here is a little more information about JLife Haircare from the site:
JLife is a range of haircare preparations developed by renowned international stylist Andrew Jose. Each product in the range is formulated exactly to do the job it is intended to do… low in additives, good for the environment and good for hair. From keeping hair more moist to colour protection, indeed JLife has a preparation for every consideration in hair care.
Thanks to Mom Fuse, I was sent a full-sized sample of The Big One Shampoo. The goal of this particular line is to cleanse and give volume and body due to the added wheat germ and polymers in the shampoo and conditioner. Sea Moss and Provitamin B5 add moisture and Vitamin E improves microcirculation to the skin. In all honesty, I don’t necessarily need a thickening shampoo, but I really liked it. I didn’t feel like it made my hair too “big” or “thick.” It has a lovely scent and it made my hair feel soft with some body. I usually wear my hair curly. When I straighten my hair with a flat iron, it tends to need a little lift which is exactly what The Big One did for my hair. It’s very gentle but I think if I had straight, lifeless hair it would be very effective. One of the things I did notice after using the shampoo was that my hair was very easy to comb (which is not typical because it’s so curly). I am really anxious to try some of the other products in the line, specifically Catch a Wave (designed for curly hair) and Drench (an intensive conditioner).
The entire line of JLife Haircare products can only be found in a salon. You can also purchase directly from the site. The prices are reasonable for such a high-quality line of haircare. One bottle retails for $16.00.
