February has traditionally been deemed the month of love, and I can’t imagine a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day then curling up with the hubby and a Nicholas Sparks film. And while very often he endures the types of romantic dramas that Sparks is known for, I suspect he’ll really enjoy Safe Haven, Relativity Media’s latest release based on the book by the same title.

Deemed a Romantic Thriller by Sparks, Safe Haven follows the story of Katie (Julianne Hough), a young woman who mysteriously arrives in the town of Southport, North Carolina. When she meets Alex (Josh Duhamel), her reluctance to form ties in the small town wanes and she finds the courage to begin a relationship with the widower and his two small children. However, despite her efforts to sequester her past, the dark secrets she has been desperately trying to forget threaten to destroy the roots she is just beginning to establish.
