How to Download Disney Infinity Custom Toy Boxes

One of the things I’ve noticed about my son is his passion for creative, imaginative play.  Even at his young age, I can already see distinct personality traits, some of which remind me of my husband. Video games during my childhood were fun and innovative at the time, but the visuals and capabilities present today were unmatched during the 80s. The fact that my son can play traditional, more structured games and then build his own world is a testament to the advances the industry has seen in the past 30+ years.

During our first few weeks immersing ourselves within Disney Infinity, I found myself drawn towards the Play Set mode while my son got to work building his own worlds and creating challenges in the Toy Box Mode. If you’re unfamiliar with the Toy Box Mode, this is where children (and adults) have infinite possibilities to create and play where their imagination takes them. One of the resources I’ve found to be helpful in exploring this mode is to download Disney Infinity’s free toy boxes.  While the process isn’t complicated, it did require a few steps, so I thought I’d outline them here.

1.  Make sure your account for your gaming console is linked to your Disney account.  We have Xbox so we had to make sure our accounts were linked (I did this on the console as opposed to online).

2. Select “Toy Box” from the Disney Infinity Main Menu

3. Select “Toy Box Share”

4.  Select Disney’s Toy Boxes

5.  Come back every week to download new custom toy boxes

If you’ve created your own custom world, be sure to submit them online for your chance to be selected as one of the weekly Top-Five Featured Toy Boxes. The winning toy boxes will be presented in their weekly web series and members of the Disney Infinity Community will be able to download and play them.
