Going green has never been easier than now. I absolutely love finding and highlighting companies whose aim is focused at eco-preservation. Don’t you wish you had someone who could show you the “green” ropes and walk you through achieving an environmentally-friendly home? I was recently introduced to Green Irene, a company whose aim is to help your family attain a healthier, safer, more sustainable lifestyle while saving money and energy.
I would love to have a Green Home Makeover, where a local eco-consultant (can you believe it?) walks you through your home to develop a customized plan with recommendations on saving money, energy, and water. The service retails for $99 and also includes a six-month membership with Ask Green Irene, which gives you access to the company’s green database and email support from a Green Irene researcher.
If a complete home makeover seems like a big step, you can start small with the EZ Bulb Swapout. Switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) and Light Emitting Diode (LED) bulbs can help save energy and money and reduce the effects of global warming.
