I don’t have time to watch a lot of television. There is so much beauty to explore…new places to discover. I’m busy and I prefer it that way. But on those evenings when the kids have actually managed to go to sleep at a decent hour and I just want to relax and do nothing, I turn on Glee.
The show is really one of the best I’ve seen in a long time…and I’m a bit hooked. It’s been nominated for 19 Emmy Awards, 4 Golden Globe Awards, 6 Satellite Awards and 57 other Awards. The entire cast consists of some of the most amazing undiscovered vocalists. The plots are creatively intertwined with music and while high school focused, can be appreciated by young and old. If you’re never watched the show, here is a brief overview (via Wikipedia):
Glee is a musical comedy-drama television series that focuses on the high school glee club New Directions competing on the show choir competition circuit, while its members deal with relationships and social issues.
In Season 2, the cast returns and despite school budget cuts and a setback at Regional’s, New Directions is more energized than ever. Season 2 includes the first 10 episodes, never-before-seen footage, and every season two performance thus far.
Because I haven’t entirely watched the first season, I am holding off on Season 2. It’s available now for $39.98.
