Dove Color Care Launches at Sundance Giveaway

I remember the year I insisted on getting a perm…I was in junior high school and tight curls were “in.” Against my mother’s better judgment, I went through with the two+ hour treatment, which left me with a hair full of frizzy, way-too-tight ringlets. Despite that first less-than-perfect salon experience, what I remember most about that day was how supportive my mother was. She always wanted me to feel beautiful, even if at the age of 15, that meant altering my perfect, naturally curly hair.

As a wife, mother, and mom, I am always working towards that balance between looking and feeling beautiful and vanity. I love to experiment with color…on my face…in my hair…within my wardrobe…but time is always the thing that gets in the way. Over the years, I’ve learned to take shortcuts, like applying a bit of lipstick and eye color in place of a full makeup application, or straightening my hair every few days as opposed to daily.

Dove, a brand that is committed to building positive self-esteem and inspiring young girls and women to reach their full potential, recently premiered their brand new video short celebrating the many meanings of color at Sundance. Their newly launched Color Care line was designed to protect against dullness and nourish colored hair, keeping it vibrant for up to 8 weeks. During the film festival, Dove hosted a variety of celebrities at their Dove Color Care Salon to showcase the new product line.

One of the things I appreciate about the brand is their commitment to helping women look and feel beautiful with affordable, effective products. Dove wants to celebrate the launch of their new line by offering one of you the opportunity to try the new products out.
