Disney/Pixar’s Brave on DVD *Giveaway*

Posted by Caryn Bailey 23 Comments

This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for stopping by. The winner is Krystal M. Congrats!

Earlier this year, I covered the press junket and red carpet premiere of Disney/Pixar’s Brave.  I took you inside Pixar Animation Studios, gave you an in-depth look at the film from the perspective of the filmmakers, and gave you glimpse at Scottish culture. Now you can own the #1 animated movie on Blu-ray/DVD.

Brave

If you haven’t seen the film, you can read my review here. Set in the ancient Highlands of Scotland, the film follows the story of adventurer and skilled archer Merida.  Determined to choose her own destiny, the princess confronts tradition head-on, defying age-old customs and unleashing chaos within the kingdom. Will she find the true meaning of bravery?

The release will include a TON of new bonus material, behind-the-scenes features, extended and deleted scenes, and the new short film “The Legend of Mor’du.”  Here are just a few of the features I’m most excited about:

“The Legend of Mor’du” Short – This new bonus short film will give audiences the opportunity to delve deeper into the legend behind Mordu, as told by the eccentric witch who transformed him.

Brave Old World – Explore the land, culture, people, and dialects of Scotland as the production team goes on location to gather research for the film.

Merida & Elinor –  Delve deep into the mother-daughter relationship at the heart of the film including how the characters were created.

Magic – Learn about Scotland’s magical, mysterious legends including the will-o’-the-wisps

Clan Pixar –  Get an inside look at making Haggis and the tradition of Kilt-wearing and see how the “Brave” production crew truly embraced Scottish themes and customs.

Once Upon A Scene – Watch alternative openings and deleted scenes. .

It is English…Sort Of –  Learn how to interpret some of Scottish lines in the film

Art Gallery – A breathtaking visual journey of the art showcasing characters, sets, scenes and stunning landscapes.

Brave is now available on Blu-ray/DVD.

Win It! One of you will win the Ultimate Collector’s Edition (5-Disc 3D Combo Pack) of Disney/Pixar’s Brave. To enter, simply complete the Rafflecopter form below.

I like that Merida didn’t have absolutely perfect hair! It went every which way it pleased, and I love that. I also love how she rode on a horse and used a bow and arrow… haha
