It’s the middle of winter and my skin is dry, cracked and irritated. It doesn’t help that I work part-time as an RN and my hands are subjected to frequent hand-washing and drying antibacterial hand gels. My skin is highly sensitive so I’m always hesitant to try a new skin care product. However, after reading about Eucerin, I agreed to try out a few skin care products that aim to target my specific needs.
Eucerin offers skin care products specifically designed for individuals with dry, sensitive skin. The skin care brand is recommended by dermatologists and works with the discipline to develop effective products based on the highest dermatological standards. As someone who is concerned about the safety of the products I use in and on my body, I was impressed to learn that you can visit the company’s website and search through their ingredient database to find products specific to your needs. On the site, you can read about their commitment to social, economic, and ecological responsibility.
I had an opportunity to try out the Daily Skin Balance Skin Fortifying Body Lotion and Hand Creme, the Calming Creme Daily Moisturizer, and the Calming Body Wash Daily Shower Oil. My first initial impression always begins with the scent of the product. The Daily Skin Balance line has a light fragrance while the Calming line is fragrance free. Honestly, I prefer the fragrance-free line for lotions but would really like to see the Shower Oil lightly scented. I absolutely adore the way the Shower Oil feels on my skin. It cleanses and hydrates leaving your skin soft and moisturized. The Shower Oil is fragrance and soap-free and therefore gentle enough to be used on children.
Of the three lotions/creams I received, I found the Calming Creme worked best for my specific skin profile. I have very dry, irritated hands, particularly after my 12 hour shifts and the Calming Creme soothes and moisturizes without feeling heavy or greasy. The Daily Skin Balance line, in my opinion, is more for everyday use and really designed to be protective rather than corrective.
Overall, I was impressed with brand, particularly because it’s available nationwide at pharmacies and grocers.
