My husband and I thoroughly enjoy the arts and hope to instill an appreciation within our children. We’ve attended several performances of Cirque du Soleil, live musicals on Broadway, an opera in Paris, and a Shakespearean theatre production in England. We’ve also exposed our children to ballet, live production, and musicals.
This week, the three of us will sit in the audience on opening night of Cavalia. This “magical encounter between human and horse” was created by one of the founders of Cirque du Soleil and combines equestrian arts, multimedia, dramatic visual effects, live music, dance and acrobatics. The show’s cast features 50 magnificent horses from all over the world and 33 performers including riders, aerialists, acrobats, dancers, musicians, and a vocalist. We are so excited to share our experience with you after Wednesday’s opening night performance.
Performances are scheduled through February under the White Big Top in downtown Burbank. Tickets are currently on sale and range from $69-$139. Guests can also opt for either the Horse Lovers Package which includes a tour of Cavalia’s stables or the VIP Rendez-Vous Package which includes a tour of the stables post-show, a cocktail/dinner reception before the show and during intermission, and a Cavalia gift.
