As the most important meal of the day, I often feel like I have to get elaborate in the mornings to ensure my children eat a hearty breakfast. If I had more time, I’d cook full breakfast meals. Unfortunately, our mornings are rushed and it’s a struggle to ensure my children are dressed and fed before they leave our home for the day.
Our typical breakfast routine is actually quite simple, if only for time’s sake. A bowl of cereal…fruit…almond milk yogurt. These are foods that don’t require a lot of thought or preparation, but still provide my children with vital nutrients. One of the things I’ve learned this past year is that even something as simple as cereal, when served with milk and fruit, provides a complete meal.
Many of Kellogg’s popular cereals are made with just one grain and are simply made with seven or less ingredients. Additionally, each cereal is fortified with vitamins and minerals. Sometimes, simple is exactly what I need in the morning when we’re rushing out of the house!
