Air Storm FireTek Bow Ignites Excitements for Archery

Earlier this Fall, I found myself shooting shooting a Firetek Bow across a Walmart store in Bentonville, Arkansas in the name of journalism. Walmart had just released its Chosen By Kids Top 20 Toys List and we were one of the first to get hands-on with these kid-approved toys. As a child, I enjoyed the archery lessons we took in Physical Education so it makes sense that kids would find this kid-friendly light-up foam bow and arrow exciting. And for kid-fans of the bow and arrow wielding heroes and heroines, this is a safer, more affordable alternative.

Featuring LED technology, the Air Storm Firetek Bow includes a foam bow with an LED-activated power grip and 3 Zonic Blaze whistling bows. Kids simply hook the arrows into the fast-load loops and fire.  Each arrow must be turned “on” in order for it to light up and the bow must be “gripped” in order for it to light up. With enough force, these arrows can actually travel quite far (up to 145 feet) so ideally this is a toy that should be played with outdoors.

My kids have been having fun seeing how far they can shoot the arrows, however, one of the things we thought might be nice to include with this toy is a target since they have been aiming this arrow-loaded bow at everything and anything in sight. We reminded both of my kids that they were to aim it solely at objects and not people despite the soft, foam composition of each arrow.

The Firetek Bow requires 2 AA batteries which are included, making it ready to use right outside of the box. The original price of this toy is $29.97 but Walmart has it on Rollback for just $24.97 and I saw it in stock at my local store recently. Additionally, I thought it was neat to see a purple version of this bow and arrow for girls.

You can still catch any savings you might have missed by remembering to input your receipts into Savings Catcher.  I’ve also been comparing prices using the ads I’ve been receiving from local competitors and in every instance, Walmart has given me the lowest advertised price. You can learn more about their Ad Match Guarantee by visiting their website.
