It’s currently in the mid-70’s this festive Christmas week so it seems ironic that I’m talking about winter fashion. But this warm spell won’t likely last long and I’ve already broken out the boots and sweaters in preparation for our brisk, Southern California winter. Shopping for myself, particularly wardrobe pieces, is much rarer these days and I typically find myself running into a store for a last-minute clothing solution to a fashion emergency. After my surprisingly successful shopping haul earlier this Spring at my local Walmart, I agreed to check out items from their Winter line. Imagine my surprise when Walmart sent me an incredibly generous box of clothes and accessories for both my husband and myself!
My favorite items from the box I received include the Jordache Jeggings, the Faded Glory Dolman Top (in black) and the Danskin Now Performance Tee (in green). The jeggings are stylish, comfy and versatile enough to wear with a casual tee or dressed up with heels and a nice blouse (like the Dolman Top). I absolutely adore Danskin Now and their long sleeve tee is breathable and comfortable for working out, yet stylish enough to be worn outside of the gym.
In addition to the above apparel items, I also received an Armitron watch and a Forever Bride Diamond Sterling Silver Bridal Set. After my nursing days, I stopped wearing a watch, mostly because mine was out of style and I never got around to purchasing a new one. The watch I received is absolutely gorgeous and features a a gunmetal case with 8 purple and 20 clear Swarovski crystals. The adjustable bracelet/band also includes 32 purple crystals which means I’m completely blinged while still managing to be elegant and tasteful.
I was incredibly surprised to receive a bridal ring set. It is beautiful and while I have my own wedding set, this is one I’ll be taking with me when I travel! The ring itself is made from 10 carat white gold and the 4 square diamonds in the center combine are 1/3 carat. The price, at $288 is really unbeatable. I highly recommend checking out Walmart’s jewelry department because you might be surprise at all you’ll find at incredible prices.
As you can imagine, my husband doesn’t often get items to review so we were both surprised and thankful to receive an assortment of wardrobe pieces for him.
As you can see from the photos, we received several fitness items which my husband is loving! After a long hiatus due to the raising of small people, he’s been back at the gym getting his cardio on. He particularly liked the Starter Performance Top, Russell Poly Tech Fleece, and Pullover Hood but he was able to wear all of the items sent.
Overall we were incredibly impressed with the styles of clothing offered for men and women at Walmart. The quality is definitely improved and the prices are unbeatable. With recognizable name brands and current on-trend looks, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at Walmart’s apparel selection.
