Did you know that a child should see a dentist for the first time at age 3? Or that how a toothpaste tastes can make or break the brushing experience for children? February is National Children’s Dental Health Month and if you’re like me, and have yet to take your child to the dentist, now is the time to do so.
To get children excited about a caring for their teeth, The Smile Generation is hosting a coloring contest through the 26th of this month (hurry!). The Smile Generation is an online resource connecting you to over 200 dental practices in California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. These dental health offices offer a variety of services including routine dental care, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and orthodontics. To search for a dentist in your area simply input your zip code on the site. A list of offices in your area will be displayed and you can filter those results by the type of service you’re looking for. You can also filter the choices to include children’s dentists. When you choose a Smile Generation dentist, you know that you’re going to get advanced clinical care, exceptional service, respect for your time and plans to fit your budget.
For more information about The Smile Generation, or to have your child enter the contest, just visit their website. You can also view their specials this month on their website.

I have an 18 month old son that has a mouth full of teeth. I know I should take him to the dentist now specially since he’s still on the bottle. I don’t want anything happening to his teeth that I will blame myself for.
