A Giveaway For the Neat Freak In You

Posted by Caryn Bailey 148 Comments

This giveaway is now closed.  Thanks for stopping by.  The winner is pitagirl.  Congrats!

I wish I could tell you that I am a neat freak.  My husband wishes he could tell you I’m a neat freak.  I wasn’t even a neat freak before we had my son, so you can imagine how organized (or unorganized) this full-time mom, wife, and nurse is.  My in-laws are coming in about a month and I HAVE to get the house clean and organized into something resembling orderly.  To start with, we bought a bunch of plastic bins to store all of the “stuff” that we aren’t currently using (why we just don’t throw it away is an entirely different blog post).  It felt good to put things away in plastic bins and organized…except…I don’t think I’ll remember which bin had 0-6 month clothes and which one had the next size up.

mabelslabelsinc_4cThanks to Mabel’s Labels, organizing has never been easier.  I was first introduced to the company by my BFF Kristin.  I remember seeing her daughter’s name on a sippy cup when my son wasn’t even a thought.  I thought it was ingenious.  Last year I reviewed the Sticky Labels and they are still stuck to his sippy cups after having been through the dishwasher countless times.  They’re incredibly durable, fashionably functional.  I was really excited when I received a Custom Neat Freak Combo from the company.  Here is a little more information about the product from the site:

The Custom Neat Freak Combo makes home organization easy with several popular labels for storage, sundries and spices packaged in one convenient combo. And because every household is different, each label in this combo can be personalized with any text you want!

canisters

This pack is all-inclusive and I couldn’t find one label that I didn’t need or use.  With 98 labels and 3 colors to choose from, you will definitely find a label for everything in your home.  Some of the things I used this pack for include labeling my son’s clothes that he has grown out of, my maternity clothes, and our holiday decor items.  I also used the spice labels in the kitchen because the writing has long worn off the bottles.  While these labels aren’t meant to go in through the dishwasher, they are water-resistant.  I think the most valuable aspect of this pack is the ability to personalize it to your home and your needs.  The text includes up to 20 letters and you can find specific label size information on the site.

The Custom Neat Freak Combo retails for $39.00 and can be purchased directly from the site.

Win It! One of you will win a Custom Neat Freak Combo!  Head on over to Mabel’s Labels and take a look at all of their products.  Come back here and leave me a comment with your favorite and what you think you’ll label if you win.  Comments will close on April 4, 2009 at 10 PM PST.  One comment per person, please. US residents only. Duplicates and comments not including the above information will be disqualified. Comments are moderated. If you don’t see your comment in a reasonable amount of time, send me an email. Bloggers and non-bloggers may enter. If you don’t want to leave your email address, please be sure to check back for my announcement on the winner. Please note that winners must respond within 48 hours of being announced/contacted or another winner will be drawn.

Want an extra entry? Do any or all of the following and receive an extra entry for each one.

Be sure to leave me a separate comment for each additional entry.

I would choose the “Write on!” Stationery Kit and give it as a gift to one of our graduating seniors. I think the art of the written word is dying and this would be a perfect gift that I hope would inspire the receiver.

I really like the classroom labels. I would use them in my daycare and label my bins that have the supplies in them. It helps make cleanup time easier when the kids know where things belong. I also like the labels for the kitchen as I too am not organized even though I really wish that gene had been passed on to me!! Thanks mom!LOL

But I also like Custom Bin Labels. I have LOTS of bins that need labeling.

I love the sticky labels! My daughter would never come home from daycare with any of her bowls or bottles if we didn’t have them! I’d love the bin labels so I could sort her outgrown clothes and finally put them away. Thanks for the opportunity!

I love the custom canister and spice labels in lime. I dry a lot of my own herbs and currently write on the jar with a marker. Not exactly stunning to look at.

Cord Control Labels – very cool.

I need to label just about everything in my house. I wonder when I will get organized?? Probably never, since I’m 50 and it still hasn’t happened.

I would use the Custom Canister and Spice labels. I have various containers and jars that are labeled with masking tape or bits of paper taped to the outside to identify the contents. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!

I would go with the mailing labels because I still mail all of my bills each month, and my hand is so tired by the 2nd of every month. lol. I would use the pack to label my kitchen…Sometimes I don’t even know where stuff is.
