As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and many companies show their support by going "pink." I am so honored to partner with Eggland's Best this month to promote their efforts. I was first introduced to the company at BlogHer where I briefly met with a representative during my flurry through the Expo floor. I picked up a dozen of their eggs w... Read More »

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year in Southern California because the weather (typically) cools down and the festivities begin as we count down to Christmas. Irvine Regional Park opened their 5th annual Pumpkin Patch over the weekend and you don't want to miss it. Last year was our first visit and my son had so much fun we had to do it again this year.

As you know, I am passionate about the environment. Together, my husband and I encourage and remind each other to reduce, reuse, and recycle re-purpose. This weekend, we're heading to Long Beach for The Great Shark Affaire. This is the first of a series of public events that will focus on the importance of eco-systems in our oceans. This weekend, attendees wil... Read More »

Summer is over, although you wouldn't know it based on the heat wave we've been having here in the Southern California (as in 107 degrees yesterday!). It's time to trade in those shorts and sandals for some fall threads!

In true Disney magic, Mickey and his friends wowed us with dancing brooms, levitation, and transformation. Mickey's Magic Show merges professional illusionists with Disney characters in a show that will captivate both young and old. I'm not certain my son grasped most of the magic, but he really enjoyed seeing his favorite characters live on stage.

My mother must have done something right because I'm 32 years old and have never had a cavity. I rarely miss flossing or twice daily brushing and try to get regular cleanings and check-ups every 6 months. I avoid soda and candy and try to boost my intake of healthy fruits and vegetables. I don't, however, consistently use a mouth rinse. I've tried several on the... Read More »

As a mom and a woman, I want to look beautiful. But it's rare for me to buy anything for myself these days, particularly something like jewelry. When I'm looking for something affordable, I typically shop at department stores.
I've never thought to shop online for real jewelry. How would I be assured of the quality and authenticity of the piece? How would I... Read More »

I can be somewhat of a geek when it comes to museums. Before children, you would often find me perusing the works of Monet and Renoir. I'm the museum goer who drives my husband crazy reading each caption word for word.
