Valentine’s Day is a week away and I seriously hope my husband does not wait until March to get me a card. Now my husband is thoughtful and loving and all of those wonderful things…but he does not do cards. Period. I don’t really know if it’s because he forgets or he doesn’t have time or he doesn’t think it’s that important (we’ve obviously had numerous conversations that have resulted in us getting absolutely nowhere). Regardless, there is a card giving/receiving discrepancy in our household and one that isn’t likely to change anytime soon.

Along with Hallmark’s “way with words” and artistic designs, comes a pre-recorded song (they’re songs we all know and love). Record your very own personal message to the recipient (which is about 10 seconds) and you’re done! When I opened the box, I had to listen to ALL OF THEM! Some are lighthearted and make you want to get up and dance like The Contours’ Do You Love Me. Others, like Marvin Gaye’s How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You, set the tone for romance.
