We’re in the heart of winter and while it doesn’t typically get that cold in Southern California, we’ve been seeing temperatures in the 40’s at night. Southern California weather is somewhat erratic, particularly at this time of year, and while there are days we all need a jacket, how much use it will get depends on the year. If I also take into consideration the fact that we have children that grow out of clothes very quickly, it makes sense to be wise about how much we spend on a jacket each year.
At Lands’ End, you’ll find everything from Fleece and Down jackets to hats, scarves, gloves, and boots. Regardless of where you live, you’ll find a jacket that fits your particular climate. With the company’s exclusive Temperature Ratings, you’ll find jackets that would be suitable for Fall in Southern California and Winter in New York City. Since we often spend part of winter in the Southeast, we opted for their 3-In-One Squall Parka.
This jacket is water-resistant, windproof and rated at “warmest” (down to -15°/20° Fahrenheit). If it’s temperate, my son can take out the fleece jacket and wear it without the outer shell. The jacket was designed to be long to provide more coverage. I like the versatility of this jacket and the ability to use it in a variety of climates. It has plenty of pockets, an EZ -Zip Tab for easy zipping, and Grow-A-Long Sleeves that extend up to 2 inches to increase the amount of time a child can wear the jacket. My son wore it in the Southeast when temperatures were in the high 20’s at night and he stayed warm.

Lands’ End wants to ensure that families can purchase a jacket without breaking their budget and is offering $20 off purchases over $75 or $50 off purchases over $150 with the code TIMETOSHOP (Pin: 2310).
