During my conversation with Staudinger, he shared some of the top destinations for last minute travel, the trends we’re currently seeing, and how technology like Expedia’s mobile app can help make a last minute trip feasible. According to a recent study conducted by Expedia, 47% of Americans indicated that money was the biggest factor in planning a spontaneous trip. Interestingly enough, 93% stated they would be somewhat likely to drop everything (as we saw in the video above) to go on the trip of their dreams if someone else paid for it.
