Valentine’s Day Heart Pops Cookies *Giveaway*

Posted by Caryn Bailey 147 Comments

This giveaway is now closed. Thanks for stopping by. The winners are Susan S., Nicole V, and Bonnie. Congrats!

With Valentine’s Day just one week away, we decided to get festive with Wilton’s super cute and easy Valentine’s Day Cookie Heart Pops.  While I find joy in baking from scratch, sometimes it’s easier to do quick projects with my son so he doesn’t lose interest.

We really enjoy Wilton’s Holiday Cookie Kits because the company makes it easy to create adorable treats that can be used as gifts (or of course, eaten!).  Their Valentine’s Day-themed kit includes everything you need to make ten Heart Pops including the pre-baked heart cookies in chocolate and vanilla flavors, lollipop sticks, white and pink icing mix for decorating, heart-shaped sprinkles, decorating bags and tips, and treat bags with stickers. The kit also includes several ideas for decorating, but I find it fun to create our own designs.

Once you’ve gathered your supplies, it’s time to start making the frosting.  The kit includes a white and a pink mix that are easily prepared using a little butter and water (or milk).  I would err on the side of prudence and use the least amount of liquid recommended so that the frosting is not too watery.  Once you’ve prepared the frosting, you can use the decorating bags to put the cookies together or you can use a flat spatula to spread the icing in the center of the two cookies.  I put a few vanilla/chocolate cookies together to change it up a bit.

After putting the cookies together, I placed them in the fridge so that they would set and not move around during decorating.

We sprinkled candy hearts over our cookies!

This time, we remembered to wrap them up for gifting!

The Heart Pops Cookie Kit makes for a quick, fun activity for Valentine’s Day or an easy gift idea.  You can purchase the kit for $12.99 online or at your local craft store.

Win It! Three of you will win a Heart Pops Cookie Kit!  This is a super quick giveaway and comments will close on Friday, February 11th at 7:00 am PST.  To enter, simply leave me a comment with another Valentine’s Day product you like from the site.  US Residents only.  Duplicates and comments not including the above information will be disqualified. Comments are moderated. If you don’t see your comment in a reasonable amount of time, send me an email. Bloggers and non-bloggers may enter. If you don’t want to leave your email address, please be sure to check back for my announcement on the winner. Please note that winners must respond within 48 hours of being announced/contacted or another winner will be drawn.  Want an extra entry?
